This cranberry sauce here was also a hit. I was surprised to realise how sour cranberries are without much sugar added. I started with ½ cup sugar cup to 4 cups of cranberries and 1 cup of water, and ended up edging up to around ¾ cup. Also added orange zest, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice, as I was after the tang and the Christmas-y seasoning. I can see why adding raisins, blueberries or currants would help with the sweetness if you wanted less cane sugar.
